BJP IT-cell head, Amit Malviya has tweeted saying 'Mamata Banerjee ordered midnight crackdown on several BJP leaders in Kolkata, who were picked up in the middle of the night, without due process of law being followed. Tajinder Bagga and several others are now in TMC’s illegal detention'. this comes after the clashes outside Calcutta University during Amit Shah's rally.
